Principal's Message—January 16, 2026
Happy New Year, Families!
I hope you had a restful holiday break and a wonderful time making memories. As we look ahead, I want to provide a helpful "refresh" on our inclement weather procedures.
To keep our students engaged and safe, future snow days will be Virtual Learning Days using a two-hour delay:
- Log-in Time: 11:10–11:20 AM (for attendance and homeroom guidance).
- Lunch/Screen Break: 1:10–1:40 PM for the whole school.
- Next Steps: Teachers will provide specific links. We encourage you to have your child "walk you through" their Google Classroom in the near future to ensure they are ready to go!
We are also spending time this week refreshing the RAMS Way. By reviewing these positive behavior expectations together, we’re ensuring our school continues to be a safe and supportive place for every student. Thank you for your partnership in reinforcing these values at home! An in-house RAMS Way assembly will be held this afternoon.
Things we should do and say that show the RAMS Way include using the names of people or nicknames they approve of, saying kind words, including others, and keeping our personal space and boundaries.
Things we will not do or say include calling others names that are hurtful or that they do not like, talking negatively about things people cannot change (skin color, religion, hair, family, abilities), using language that is considered cursing or swearing, or leaving others out to hurt their feelings.
Thank you, as always, for your partnership to promote a positive learning environment!
