Take Your Child to Work Day

The National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is recognized on the fourth Thursday in April each year. Parents of students in our schools are encouraged, if participating, to use April 24 or choose a date in the summer months.

If your child will be missing school for this purpose, it is necessary to complete and submit a Pine-Richland Family Educational Trip form (found on the Sapphire Portal) prior to the scheduled date.  This will allow us to keep track of who is participating.  Although the form says it should not be used for single day absences, this is an exception.

Please note that the absence will be considered a parent excused absence and will count toward the 10-day limit allotted to Pine-Richland students. If your child has met or exceeded the 10 days of parent excused absences, it will be an unlawful/unexcused absence. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Snee or Mrs. Brennan.
